Breast augmentation techniques
There are multiple techniques used in this surgeryInframammary crease:
Inframammary crease: it is the most popular incision technique used. The incision is made where the breast meets your chest wall, meaning that the scar will be hidden beneath the implant.
It also allows the surgeon to have a good access to the breast tissue, they are able to control the fold or height of the implant and they are able to accurately place the implant without excessive handling of it.
Peri-areola (around the nipple): The cut is made around the areola (nipple) edge and the scar is somewhat hidden, due to the pigmentation division of the nipple and breast skin. Surgeons tend to use this technique if they want to perform an additional but small breast lift.
Trans-axillary : A small incision is made under the armpit. The breast implant will be inserted in this opening by the surgeon using special surgical instruments and a camera to ensure proper placement. The procedure does leave a small scar at the point of the incision but the breast itself remains scar-free.
trans-umbilical: The incision is made just above the belly button and the implants are then guided up to the breast from this point.

Steps of breast augmentation surgery
Medications are administered for your comfort during the surgical procedure Which might be intravenous sedation or general anesthesia. Your doctor will recommend the best choice for you.
the next step will be the placement of incisions depending on the technique used that is best for the patient’s anatomy, taking into consideration her incision preferences.
The surgeon will place the incisions in natural creases as far as possible to keep the subsequent scars concealed.
Then the surgeon will place the implants either in front of the pectoral muscle right behind the breast tissue, or just below the pectoral muscle.
Incisions are closed with layered sutures in the breast tissue and with sutures, skin adhesive or surgical tape to close the skin.
